Amanda L Scamman COTA/L, CDI, CDRS
Amanda is a New Hampshire–licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, Certified Driving Instructor, and Certified Driver Rehabilitation Specialist with more than 32 years of experience in occupational therapy, 27 years as a driving instructor, and 25 years in driver rehabilitation. She earned her Driver Rehabilitation Specialist certification through ADED in 2003.
Throughout her career, Amanda has been an active contributor to multiple professional organizations. From 2003 to 2005, she supported AOTA by serving on the Driving and Community Mobility Specialty Certification Committee. She served on the New England Traffic Safety Education Association (NETSEA) Board from 2000 to 2024, holding roles as Member, Vice President, and President. In addition, she has been a longtime member of ADED and served as President of ADED’s Northeast Chapter from 2018 to 2024.
Amanda has presented at numerous national and regional conferences and academic institutions, including AAA, ADED, ADTSEA, the New Hampshire Driver Education Teachers Association, the New Hampshire Brain Injury Association, the University of New Hampshire, Salem State University, North Shore Community College, the University of New England, Tufts University, and the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy. Her presentations provide continuing education and practical guidance for professionals in driver education, occupational therapy, rehabilitation, and traffic safety.
With extensive experience in both hospital-based and private driver rehabilitation programs, Amanda has dedicated her career to promoting safe mobility and independence. She is proud to continue this work independently, providing driver rehabilitation services that support people of all abilities in achieving safe and confident community mobility.
